Preparing the water filter THOMAS AquaBOX:
  • It is necessary to pour 1 liter of clean water into a container;
  • Insert the AquaBOX into the vacuum cleaner housing;
  • Make sure that the injector is working and that water is spraying through the cover opening
The anti-spill insert must never be installed when preparing the AquaBOX for dry cleaning.
Preparing the water filter THOMAS AquaBOX:

Pour water and add detergent concentrate into the cleaning solution tank immediately before starting wet cleaning of hard or soft surfaces.

Follow the proportion – 20 ml of detergent concentrate per 1l of water.

Pour the cleaning concentrate first, and then the water.

You can flush the solution supply system inside the vacuum cleaner after wet cleaning using the spray mode.

  • Fill the solution tank with clean water;
  • Switch on the pump (Pump button) and press the handle of the shut-off valve on the hose;
  • Place the washing nozzle in a suitable container and allow the pump to pump water from the clean water tank into the container.

You can simply rinse the hose and nozzle of the DryBOX AMFIBIA vacuum cleaner after wet cleaning using the water suction function.

For this:

  • Empty the dirty water container (AquaBOX container);
  • Pour 2 liters of water into a clean separate tank;
  • Turn on the vacuum cleaner at full power and immerse the nozzle in the water, tilting it slightly;
  • Within a few seconds, the vacuum cleaner will suck in all the water and it will wash the nozzle and hose;
This operation can be repeated several times if necessary.

In order to connect the washing nozzle and assemble the water supply system, you must:

  1. Mount the washing nozzle on the telescopic tube, using clips to secure the solution supply hose to the tube;
  2. Connect a shut-off valve to the air hose;
  3. Fasten the cleaning solution supply hose from the shut-off valve to the vacuum cleaner to the air hose with clips. The gaps between the clips should be approximately equal;
  4. Insert the thin end of the air hose into the telescopic tube, making sure the connection is secure;
  5. Connect the tube of the washing nozzle to the shut-off valve, turning until it locks into place;
  6. Insert the air hose of the vacuum cleaner and turn until it locks into place;
  7. Insert and fix the tip the tip of the detergent supply hose in the connector on the cleaner body.

The process of washing hard surfaces with a floor/carpet cleaning nozzle has its own characteristics.

During wet cleaning, water is supplied to the washing nozzle, and at the same time the brush of the hard surfaces adapter along the floor.

This may leave residual moisture on the floor covering.

In order to dry the surface, change the angle of the washing nozzle, press the rubber scraper on the adapter to the surface with a little force and collect the water by moving it towards you.

A rubber scraper with simultaneous supply of cleaning solution can also remove specific contaminants.

Maintaining AquaBOX after finishing wet cleaning mode is easy.

  • Pour out dirty water, wash all parts of the AquaBOX and be sure to dry them.

Only after this clean and dry AquaBOX can be assembled and stored.

You can turn the vacuum cleaner on or off by pressing the power button once.

You can change the power by smoothly pressing the power button (while the vacuum cleaner is running) and holding it.

The power will increase, reach a maximum, decrease again, and so on.

The fixing clip on the hose should be located at 90 degree angle to the vertical axis.

Turn the tip of the hose so that the clip on it is fixed in the lid of the vacuum cleaner.

To connect the cleaning solution supply tube, insert its tip into the washing solution connector with slight force (until it clicks).

To pull out the power cord before starting work, pull the plug and then pull the cord.

Be sure to look at the indicator (red electrical tape on the cord). As soon as it is visible, stop pulling the cable.

To rewind the cable, lightly pull it then release it (the vacuum cleaner uses inertial rewinding of the power cable).

In order to wash upholstered furniture using a narrow nozzle for wet cleaning.

  • Attach it to the air hose;
  • Then attach the detergent supply tube to the shut-off valve on the air hose and turn until it is fully secured;
  • Switch on the pump using the button on the vacuum cleaner body, then press the shut-off valve lever to supply water.

Direct wet cleaning occurs when the washing nozzle moves towards itself. Work strip by strip, lifting and repositioning the nozzle.

To reduce residual moisture, you can stop the water supply and continue moving the nozzle towards you, removing excess moisture.

It is recommended to wash and dry the water-repellent filters in the AquaBOX lid after each cleaning.

If the suction power has decreased, it’s time to wash the HEPA filter.

  1. First, tap the dry filter on a hard surface;
  2. Then gently rinse the entire surface of the filter under running water WITHOUT using brushes or detergents.
  3. Even if the filter has turned grey, it can still trap dust perfectly. After washing, dry the filter at room temperature.

The motor protection filter with activated carbon cannot be washed, it can only be tapped out lightly.

The micro exhaust filter in the lower rear part of the vacuum cleaner is not serviceable and must be replaced.

For maximum efficiency of the entire filtration system, the manufacturer recommends changing all the filters together (the whole set) вon average once every 12 months, but this depends on how the cleaner is used (frequency of cleaning, contamination level in the room, etc.).

The process of washing a carpet occurs when water is supplied to the washing nozzle while the nozzle is moved along the surface.

The washing solution, under pressure, penetrates deep into the pile of the carpet, washing away all the dirt from the depths.

Wet and more elastic fibres of the carpet are straightened by the suction force and the surface becomes evenly fluffy. At the same time, residual moisture will be present on the surface and in the depths of the carpet.

To remove the water, change the angle of the nozzle, press it down on the carpet with a little force and collect the water in a “”pulling”” motion. For maximum effect, do this several times until no more water drops appear on the nozzle.

The transparent plastic of the nozzle makes it possible to control how the water is absorbed.

The amount of water sprayed onto the carpet by a vacuum cleaner and collected in the AquaBOX may vary by 2 or more times.

This is normal – some moisture remains in the carpet and dries out in a few hours.

To wash parquet/laminate flooring with the AquaStealth nozzle, press the detergent solution supply lever and at the same time move the nozzle away from you over the surface.

This will wet the surface and dissolve the dirt. Release the lever for cleaning solution supply and move it towards you – the nozzle will collect the liquid with dissolved dirt.

The residual moisture of the floor covering after wet cleaning is less than 1%.

The AquaStealth nozzle not only cleans, but also dries the floor.

When wet cleaning with the AquaStealth nozzle, the vacuum cleaner constantly supplies clean water and sucks dirty water into a separate tank.

After washing, the floor is perfectly clean, without streaks (unlike the floor after washing with a rag or mop). A napkin attached to the nozzle gently rubs the floor, giving it a slight shine and a well-groomed appearance.

To install the hard surface adapter:

  • First slide it onto the fixed clip on one side of the washing nozzle.;
  • Then secure the adapter to the other side of the nozzle using the red locking button;
  • Then fix the adapter in the working position with the central lock..

To detach the solution supply hose from the vacuum cleaner, simply press the locking button and the tube will pop out.

Never pull or force the solution supply tube towards you!

For the ideal gentle and thorough dry cleaning of parquet and laminate floors, there are special nozzles with natural bristles.

These nozzles leave no scratches or other damage on delicate floor coverings.

The nozzle with natural horsehair and felt inserts also rubs and polishes the floor, giving parquet or laminate an additional light shine.

Special holes in the body of the vacuum cleaner make it easy to keep extra nozzles handy while cleaning.

For example, you can place a crevice nozzle, a brush or an upholstery nozzle in these holes while cleaning.

This way you always have small accessories at hand.

Some models of THOMAS vacuum cleaners are also equipped with a Vario Clip nozzle holder, which is attached to the tube or hose handle.

It is strictly prohibited to pour hot water into the clean water tank!

This may damage the cleaning solution supply system.

If necessary, you can fill the tank with slightly warm water, not exceeding 25-30 degrees.

It is not recommended to add aromatic (essential) oils to the water during dry or wet cleaning!

Fats promote the adhesion of debris and dust particles to the parts and filters of the vacuum cleaner. This makes it difficult to maintain the vacuum cleaner after cleaning and shortens the service life of replaceable filters.

In order to quickly vacuum up spilled liquid with an AquaBOX vacuum cleaner, be sure to install a splash quarding insert in the AquaBOX!

  • Connect the air hose and telescopic tube to the vacuum cleaner;
  • Attach a carpet/floor switchable nozzle or a wide cleaning nozzle to the tube (with a hard surface adapter if you need to collect water from a smooth floor);
  • Turn on the vacuum cleaner and start collecting water by moving the nozzle towards you;
  • The vacuum cleaner can collect up to 2.6 liters of liquid at a time;
  • When the tank is full, the vacuum cleaner will automatically turn off.

If you need to continue working, pour out the collected water and turn the vacuum cleaner on again.

To install a disposable bag with mounting bracket in a XT series vacuum cleaner, first remove the AquaBOX container from the vacuum cleaner. Then install the disposable bag into the mounting bracket, and after that insert the bracket with the bag into a special groove inside the vacuum cleaner.

HEPA filter can actually be washed and is moisture resistant.

There is no need to wash the filter after every cleaning, it makes no sense. Even if the filter has turned grеy, it can perfectly trap dust.

It’s time to wash the HEPA filter if the suction power of the vacuum cleaner has decreased. First, tap the dry filter on a hard surface. Then, under running water, gently rinse the entire surface of the filter WITHOUT using brushes or detergents.

After washing, dry it at room temperature. The filter takes 1-2 days to dry.

If wet cleaning is carried out correctly, residual moisture is minimal. You can walk on the floor or carpet and sit on the sofa immediately after cleaning.

In order to avoid excessive wetting of the surface, make several strokes with the nozzle with spraying water or cleaning solution, and then several strokes without spraying, just collecting water and drying the surface.

The date of manufacture is printed on a label on the body of the appliance.

    Data on the label:
  • M-Nr: XXXXXXXX – individual appliance number;
  • XXXX – production date, where the first number is the day of the week, the second and third numbers are the week of the year, the fourth number is the last digit of the year of production.

There are different ways to clean floor surfaces.

  • Soft floors can be cleaned with wet cleaning nozzles without an adapter. Otherwise, the residual moisture in soft coverings will be too high.
  • In order to wash hard floor coverings, a washing nozzle with an adapter is used (it’s called an adapter for washing hard surfaces).
  • A special AquaStealth washing nozzle is designed for washing parquet floors coated with varnish or mastic and other coverings that can’t resist direct contact with water. When using this nozzle, water enters the floor surface through a special microfiber (cloth), and the cloth carefully cleans the surface without excess moisture.

The main difference between a parquet nozzle and a regular one is that through it water is not supplied directly to the floor surface, but to a special cloth, which then washes the floor.

A regular wet floor nozzle sprays water under pressure directly onto the floor. This method is great for tiles, linoleum, stone and other coverings that are not afraid of water.

Parquet nozzles, such as AquaStealth or the nozzle with cloth adapter, allow you to clean delicate floors just as thoroughly, but with a minimum amount of moisture. This ensures that the floor will not swell or bloat after wet cleaning.
